Divergent

Divergent - Veronica Roth Enjoyable fast read. Despite the hype, I didn't expect a whole lot from it, which was good because honestly this doesn't deliver anything really groundbreaking. An interesting premise, vaguely sketched out dystopian world, like a reading s'more. I like s'mores. I liked this book.

There were a couple parts that really did bother me:

1. The sexual abuse that Tris is told not to report because it's better that she wait to get justice. Um, what?
2. At the end, all of a sudden we are Talking About God. It was pretty random and didn't fit with the character or the story.
3. It took until about page 400 for the plot to start. This wasn't super bothersome as I found the initiation process fun to read about.

Other than that, I'll be interested to see what Insurgent and Allegiant hold.
